1992 – 1994  Butler Telecom, Dallas, Texas

Construction Supervisor

On contract to Ericsson/GE Land Mobile Radio project. Responsibilities were to request and award bids from competing contractors for the construction of new towers and the installation of existing ones, purchasing and placing prefab buildings, remodeling of existing buildings and all the civil work associated with the project. My duties entailed the total turnkey from site selection, meeting with local jurisdictions to get zoning approvals and building permits to final acceptance by the Ericsson/GE customer.

On contract to Pacific Telecom Inc.. My responsibilities were the construction of a fiber optic cable from Fort Wainwright to the North Pole central office and the placement of distribution cable on the base. Duties included the route selection, placing, splicing, and acceptance of work performed by contract personnel.

Construction Supervisor

On contract to Ericsson Radio in Los Angeles. Was responsible for the construction of two switch buildings and various cell sites for L.A. Cellular. Was involved in all aspects of the project from design to construction.

 

1988    Carrol Engineering, Wichita, Kansas

BICS Engineer

On contract to AT&T. Was responsible for the OSP engineering at the Boeing Military Aircraft Company plant in Wichita in order to bring all the buildings into the parameters for ISDN conversion. Duties included the research of cable records and drafting.

 

 

1985 – 1988  Butler Telecom, Grand Prairie, Texas

Construction Inspector

On contract to US Telecom and US Sprint. Inspected on nine different long haul fiber optics projects in the Midwest and Southeast areas of the United States. Scope of work included directional boring, bridge attachments, conduit and cable placement.

 

1983 – 1985  Ford Aerospace and Communications, Cairo, Egypt

Construction Supervisor

Duties included the construction of a major manhole and conduit run for a new exchange in Heliopolis, Egypt. Also placed distribution and fiber optic cable.

 

1981 – 1983  Kentron International, Jubail, Saudi Arabia

Construction Supervisor

Was responsible for the construction of a closed circuit television system for the Saudi Arabian Navy. Project included the construction of a studio building and base wide system of coaxial cable. Was directly involved in all aspects of work, from engineering to implementation.
